Facebook

This guest post from Doris Dillon

Everyone knows that Facebook is the biggest and the best when it comes to social media. It has changed from just a place to meet up with your friends online to so much more than that. Companies can use it to grow their businesses. They can create ad campaigns specifically designed for the people the ads are served to. People who would have unsuccessfully started their own small business have been far more successful than they could have been in the pre Facebook era.

For me I access Facebook via direct tv satellite internet and it is one of the best ways to keep in touch with friends that I may not have had the opportunity to keep in touch with otherwise. There have been times when I have found old friends from school and have been so excited to see them and their husbands and children. It is really a neat site to be a part of. It does have its drawbacks though.

If you put too much information on your profile you can be subject to someone hacking your account or taking your information. So a good rule of thumb is don’t put anything on your profile that you wouldn’t tell a stranger on the street.
